The other major addon that you shouldn't be without, Deadly Boss Mods makes World of Warcraft's complex boss fights a little more approachable by providing real-time alerts to keep you one step ahead. More advanced users will appreciate the ability to program custom macros that can change the state of your action bars too. Bartender lets you set keybindings and position them perfectly for an optimal setup. Before long, your hotbars are going to fill up and become an annoying mess. If you're starting out in World of Warcraft as a brand new player, this should be one of the first mods you consider.

Enter Bartender, an addon that gives you full control of ten action bars including their position, size, and even transparency. By default, they're quite small, can lack crucial information, and you don't have a whole lot of customization options. World of Warcraft's hotbars are easily the most outdated part of its user interface. TLDR Its quite an unforgiving class if you fuck up, and isn't as fun as it has been through changes over the years, but when you nail your rotation in ToS, your numbers are much better than in Nighthold and it can make the class feel more rewarding, to a degree.(Image credit: Blizzard) Best WoW addons for 2022 Example: my Frost DK (ilvl 900 faceroller) with random gear (no tier at all) still does more than my priest (ilvl 916, 4 piece t20) if i fuck up one mindbender CD or have a higher movement fight. Also, I've found that every other 110 I have (which I am less familiar with) puts out the same or higher dps than my much better-geared spriest, which is pretty disheartening after all of those loot rolls and a more demanding rotation. I will continue to play spriest still, but I think there is a lot they could do to smooth out the sometimes overly-intensive upkeep of voidform and playstyle on certain bosses.

Honestly, I think the biggest upset so far was the removal of Mind Sear (our only AoE without sacrificing things). Small gripes, and I am liking my dps rankings a lot better in ToS than NH (single target was atrocious if you didnt have the perfect trinket setup more or less or 4-piece t19), but it is still very unforgiving if you pop a CD too early/late by a second or two on high movement fights, etc. Once I got used to the ease of Misery, it's hard to want to cast both dots seperately again. I think managing combo points very effectively (personally) is way harder, but then again I have been playing and adapting with my shadow priest for 11 years now, so I'm emotionally attached even though I feel the class could be GREATLY improved in terms of not being so particular with certain things, like not making ToF a stock passive instead of a talent, and having to choose between misery and mindbender (my biggest hardship with the class).
